Candy Crush Saga has been the reference point for match-3 games since 2012, and the core loop still holds up: swap two pieces, clear a line, watch the cascades chain. What wears thin is everything around that loop. Lives run out, timers ask you to wait, and boosters cost real money. So we built Prism Pop, a free match-3 that keeps the matching and drops the rest. It runs right here in your browser, with no download, no signup, no lives, and a fresh board every day.
Play Prism Pop now
Drag a gem onto its neighbour to start. Sound is off by default, and the toggle is under the board.
How to play
Swap two adjacent gems to line up three or more of the same shape. On touch, drag a gem toward its neighbour, or tap one and then tap the other. On desktop, use the arrow keys to move the cursor, press Enter to pick a gem, then press an arrow to swap it.
Each round gives you 30 moves to hit a target score, and the target rises every round until you run out. Matching four in a row creates a striped gem that clears a full line, and every cascade multiplies your points, so set up chains when you can. The board is seeded from today’s date, which means everyone plays the same starting puzzle, and clearing a round keeps your day streak alive. Your best score and streak are saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Candy Crush Saga
Prism Pop keeps the part of Candy Crush Saga that made us stay up too late: the swap, the clear, the pieces tumbling into a second and third match you did not plan. Rounds are short, restarts are instant, and the daily board gives you a reason to come back without a single notification.
We deliberately dropped the rest. There are no levels to unlock, no boosters, no lives, no events, and no leaderboards tied to your contacts. Candy Crush Saga is free to install and playable without spending, but it limits failed attempts with a lives system and sells boosters and extra moves as in-app purchases. That model funds a game with more than ten thousand hand-built levels, weekly updates, and mechanics we do not attempt here, like jelly, ingredients, and licorice blockers.
So the honest framing is this: Prism Pop is the ten-minute version. If you want a quick daily puzzle with zero friction, it lives on this page and always will. If you want hand-crafted level design, special piece combos, and progression that spans months, the original is the better game, and it is worth installing.

Frequently asked questions
Can I play Candy Crush Saga in my browser?
Not on this page. King distributes Candy Crush Saga through the mobile app stores and the Microsoft Store on Windows, and browser play is not how the game is offered today. What you can play here is Prism Pop, our own match-3 built for the browser, with the same swap-and-cascade loop and none of the install steps.
Is this the real Candy Crush Saga?
No. Prism Pop is an original game we built and it shares only the genre: an 8x8 board, matches of three or more, striped line-clearing pieces, and cascade scoring. All of its art and sound are our own. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to King or Candy Crush Saga in any way.
Is Prism Pop free?
Yes, completely. There are no ads, no accounts, no purchases, and no lives to refill. It is a single small page that loads once and keeps working even if your connection drops mid-session.
Where are my score and streak stored?
In your browser’s local storage, on your device. We do not run accounts or sync anything to a server, so your best score and day streak never leave your browser. Clearing your browsing data will reset them.
Do I get a new puzzle every day?
Yes. The starting board is generated from today’s date, so it changes at midnight and everyone in the world starts from the same layout. Clear at least one round in a day to extend your streak, and check the copy button under the board if you want to share your score.
