Microsoft Solitaire Collection has kept the same loop alive for three decades: flip a card, sort it onto a run, and chase all four suits up to the foundations. It is the game people open when they have five minutes and want exactly that feeling. We wanted it without the install or the ads, so we built Daily Klondike, a full game of classic solitaire that runs right here on this page. Free, no download, no signup. Today’s deal is already on the table.
Play Daily Klondike now
Tap the deck to draw, then tap any face-up card to send it to a legal spot. Dragging works too.
How to play
This is full Klondike: seven columns, a draw pile, and four foundations. Build the columns down in alternating colors, and build the foundations up by suit from ace to king. On a phone the fastest way to play is tapping, since a tap sends the card to its best legal spot. On desktop you can drag stacks around, and every card is reachable by keyboard.
The toolbar gives you unlimited undo, a switch between draw-1 and draw-3, and an auto-finish button that appears once every card is face-up. The date seeds the daily deal, so everyone in the world plays the same layout today, and the random button shuffles a fresh one whenever you want. Your wins, your daily streak, and your best time for today’s deal are saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Microsoft Solitaire Collection
Daily Klondike keeps the mode most people actually open the app for. You get the full Klondike rule set with both draw-1 and draw-3, a timer and move counter, unlimited undo, and a daily deal that works like the app’s daily challenges: one shared layout per day, with a streak for solving it. A game still takes the same five to ten minutes, and the win still ends in a cascade.
We deliberately built one game, not five. Microsoft’s collection also includes Spider, FreeCell, TriPeaks, and Pyramid, plus daily challenge variants across all of them, monthly events, XP levels, themed card backs, and Xbox achievements with cloud sync. None of that is here. There are also no star rewards or coin systems, which means there is nothing to grind and nothing to buy, but also less to come back for beyond the deal itself.
One honest difference on fairness: our deals are seeded shuffles, so like classic Klondike some layouts cannot be won. The app’s challenge modes are curated to be solvable, which is a real advantage when you are chasing a long streak. If you play solitaire every day, care about your stats following you across devices, or want the other four games, the full app is the better home. Our version is for the moments you just want a deal in front of you right now.
Get the full game
Microsoft Solitaire Collection is free with ads on Android, and it bundles Klondike with Spider, FreeCell, TriPeaks, and Pyramid behind one clean interface. The daily challenges and event calendar give it a rhythm our single daily deal only hints at. If you play on a computer, we also compared the best options in our guide to classic solitaire apps for desktop.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play solitaire online for free?
Yes. Daily Klondike, the game on this page, is completely free and runs in any modern browser on phone or desktop. There are no ads, no accounts, no in-app purchases, and no data collection. You get a fresh daily deal every day plus unlimited random deals.
Is this the real Microsoft Solitaire?
No. Daily Klondike is an original game we built around the classic Klondike rules that Microsoft Solitaire Collection popularized. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Microsoft in any way. All art in our version is original, and the download links above point to the official app.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, the game makes no further network requests, so it keeps working through connection drops. It does need the page loaded first, though. For a proper offline solitaire session, install Microsoft Solitaire Collection, which plays fully offline after setup.
Is every deal winnable?
No, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. Our deals are seeded random shuffles, exactly like a physical deck, and a share of Klondike shuffles cannot be won no matter how well you play. Microsoft’s daily challenges are curated to be solvable, which is one genuine reason to get the app. When a deal fights back, undo is unlimited and a random deal is one tap away.
Where is my streak saved?
In your browser’s local storage, on your device. Your total wins, your daily streak, and your best time for today’s deal never get sent anywhere, and there is no account behind them. That also means clearing your browser data or switching devices resets them, since there is no cloud sync in our version.
