How to play
Drag anywhere on the court to move your player; on desktop, WASD or the arrow keys work too. Get close to the rim for an easier layup window, or pull up from outside for a tougher three. Hold the SHOOT button (or the space bar) to start the timing meter, then release when the marker lands inside the highlighted zone. The window shrinks the farther out you shoot from and tightens further when the defender is draped on you, so position matters as much as timing.
It’s first to 15 baskets or 60 seconds, make it take it: score and the ball stays yours for another attempt right away. Today’s defender difficulty and court colors are the same for everyone who opens this page. Your best score and day streak are saved on this device, and nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to NBA 2K26
Rim Rush keeps the part of NBA 2K26 that decides most possessions: a timing-based shot release that punishes a rushed trigger and rewards a clean one, plus a defender who reacts to where you actually are on the floor instead of standing still. Layups get a more forgiving window than jumpers, the way real spacing should work, and closing a run out under a clock keeps every attempt under two minutes.
What we left out is everything that turns a two-minute idea into a full 2K production. There is one defender instead of full five-on-five rosters, no MyCAREER storyline, no MyTEAM card collecting, no Rep or badges to grind, and no virtual currency to manage or buy into. NBA 2K26 also carries licensed teams and players plus motion-captured animation that makes every crossover and finish look like broadcast footage, none of which we tried to reproduce here.
