SIP Planner and SIP Calculator app feature graphic

A systematic investment plan is easy to describe and hard to picture: a fixed amount every month, for years, adding up to something much larger than the deposits. On Android, SIP Planner & SIP Calculator is one of the apps people use to see that picture. We built Monthly Climb, a free SIP calculator that runs right on this page, with a live chart, a yearly step-up, an inflation toggle and a goal planner. No install, no signup.

Run your SIP numbers

It opens with a worked example already on screen. Drag any slider or tap a stepper, and the chart, totals and comparison update at once.

How to use it

Set a monthly amount, an expected yearly return and a number of years. The blue area is money you put in, and the indigo band above it is the illustrated gain. Drag across the chart, or use the year slider under it, to read the value at any year. Turn on the yearly step-up to raise your amount every January, and switch on inflation to see a dashed line for today’s money.

Plan for a goal flips the question around: enter a target and Monthly Climb works out the monthly amount that reaches it. You can show amounts in lakh and crore or in international grouping, in rupees, dollars or euros. Each day also offers one what-if to try, and a small counter shows how many days in a row you have opened your plan. Everything is saved on your device, and nothing leaves your browser.

How it compares to SIP Planner & SIP Calculator

We kept the part most people open a SIP app for: monthly investing, a return assumption, a time horizon and a clear result. We added a few things a browser does well, such as a scrubber over the chart and a side-by-side with a lumpsum. The lumpsum row is worth a careful read. With a steady return, the same total invested on day one ends higher than a SIP, because it has more time. The SIP’s strength is practical, since most people can commit a monthly amount but not a large sum today.

What we left out is the rest of what an app does. There are no saved plans across devices, no fund lookups, no reminders and no account. The return is a single steady percentage, which real markets never deliver year after year.

Use Monthly Climb to test ideas in half a minute. Get the app when you want to keep plans on your phone, return to them over the years and compare several side by side.

SIP Planner & SIP Calculator is an Android app for working out systematic investment plans. It sits comfortably next to our other browser finance tool, the free compound interest calculator, which handles a starting sum and compounding frequency rather than a monthly plan.

Frequently asked questions

How is a SIP return calculated?

Each month’s amount is invested at the start of the month and grows at the yearly return divided by 12, compounded monthly. The value after n months is the sum of every deposit grown for the months it has been invested. The calculator above runs exactly that, month by month, and a step-up simply raises the deposit once a year.

Is SIP better than a lumpsum?

Neither wins in general. If the return were perfectly steady, a lumpsum would finish ahead of a SIP with the same total, because it is invested sooner. A SIP is useful when you do not have the sum today and want to spread your entry over time. The calculator shows both so you can see the gap for your own numbers.

Is this SIP calculator free?

Yes. There is no signup, no download and no limit, and it keeps working without a connection once the page has loaded. Your last inputs stay in your browser’s local storage on your device.

Are the results financial advice?

No. The tool is an illustration that assumes one steady return, and real returns rise and fall. It makes no promise about any fund or account. For decisions involving real money, speak to a licensed adviser.

Is this the real SIP Planner & SIP Calculator app?

No. Monthly Climb is an original tool we built, inspired by SIP calculators on Android. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the publisher of SIP Planner & SIP Calculator. For saved plans and an app on your phone, get the official app from the stores above.
