Zenless Zone Zero built its whole identity around one feeling: dashing around a stylish urban fight, chaining light and heavy attacks into a combo, then cashing it in for a flashy special move. The catch is a multi-gigabyte install and a squad-building system layered on top of it. We wanted the dash-combo-flourish loop without either, so we built Neon Breach, a small original 3D brawler you can play right now, free, with nothing to install.

How to play
On a phone, drag the pad in the bottom-left corner to move and drag anywhere on the right side of the screen to look around. Tap DASH to burst out of danger with a brief window of invulnerability, tap LIGHT and HEAVY to chain attacks into a combo, and tap BURST once the flash meter fills for a screen-clearing special move. On a keyboard, use WASD to move, drag the mouse to look, Shift to dash, J for a light attack, K for a heavy attack, and L for burst.
Anomalies telegraph every attack before it lands, so getting hit is always something you could have dodged. Dashing through an attack at the last second counts as a perfect dodge and fills the flash meter faster than landing hits alone. Today’s wave of anomalies is the same for every player, and your best score and daily streak are saved on your device only. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Zenless Zone Zero
Neon Breach keeps the part of Zenless Zone Zero we actually load the game for: a real third-person camera in a small neon arena, a dash with genuine invulnerability frames, light and heavy attacks that chain into a combo counter, and a special move that pays off a full meter with a screen flourish. Enemies telegraph before they swing, so every hit you take reads as a mistake you can fix next run, not bad luck.
Everything else is deliberately gone. There is no squad of three characters to swap between, no gacha banners, no story chapters, no crafting, and no 20GB+ install. Zenless Zone Zero is a full action RPG with proxy missions, a rotating character roster, and a live-service content calendar; Neon Breach is a 75-second arena run built around one character and one combo system, with nothing in it designed to sell you a pull.
