Click Speed Test app feature graphic

Click Speed Test on Android answers one question: how many times can you tap in a few seconds? People use it to compare thumbs, warm up for clicker games and settle bets. We built Pulse Pad, a free clicks-per-second counter that runs right here. Pick a length, tap the pad, and watch your CPS and a per-second graph build as you go. No install, no signup.

Play Pulse Pad now

Choose 1, 2, 5, 10 or 30 seconds, then tap the pad or press Space. The clock starts on your first click.

How to play

Tap or click the big pad. On a keyboard, press Space or Enter. On a phone, use as many fingers as you like, because every touch counts. Your result is clicks divided by the length of the test, shown with a rank title and a bar for each moment of the run, so you can see whether you started fast and faded or built up speed.

The Daily button gives everyone the same length and click target for that date. Finish the run and your streak goes up by one. The graph and your best CPS for each length live in your browser’s local storage. Nothing leaves your device.

Two events within 12 milliseconds count as one, which filters out the double-fire some mice and touchscreens produce. Sound is off until you switch it on. We also built a reaction time test and an aim trainer if you want to try other kinds of speed.

How it compares to Click Speed Test

Click Speed Test keeps the idea simple, and so do we. The core loop is the same: press as fast as you can for a fixed time, then read your CPS. Pulse Pad keeps the 1, 2, 5, 10 and 30 second lengths and adds a graph of each second, a per-length best and a daily target.

What we left out is everything around the number: no account, no global leaderboard, no history chart across weeks. Your best for each length is the only record we keep, and it stays on your device.

Short tests are noisy. A one-second run mostly measures how well you timed the first tap, while 10 and 30 seconds show what you can actually hold. For a stable number, compare results at the same length. If you want a ranking against other players, the Android app is the better fit.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the real Click Speed Test app?

No. Pulse Pad is an original tool we built, inspired by the tap-and-count idea behind Click Speed Test. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to its publisher. To get the app itself, use the download link above.

What is a good CPS score?

Most people land between 4 and 7 clicks per second with a single finger. Past 8 is quick, and past 10 usually means a technique like jitter clicking or several fingers. Rank titles in Pulse Pad follow the same bands, so a result of 6 reads as steady rather than slow.

Does this work on my phone?

Yes. The pad takes touches directly, and multi-finger taps are all counted. On a laptop, a mouse click or the Space bar both work.

Is it free, and does it work offline?

It is free, with no signup. Once the page has loaded, the tool makes no outside requests, so it keeps working if your connection drops. Your bests and streak are saved on your device only.

Why did a very fast burst count fewer clicks than I made?

Pulse Pad ignores a second event that arrives within 12 milliseconds of the first, because that is almost always a hardware double-fire rather than a real click. A human cannot press two separate clicks that close together with one finger.
