Dice Roller - RPG & D20 Dice exists because digging through a bag for a d20 mid-session is friction nobody needs. We built Tumble Dice, a free virtual dice roller that runs right here in your browser. Pick a die type, tap the tray, and watch it tumble to a result, no app store detour required.
Play Tumble Dice now
It opens with two six-sided dice already showing a result. Tap the dice, or press Roll, to try it.
How to use it
Tap anywhere in the dice tray, or press the Roll button, to trigger a tumble. Each die bounces and settles on a genuinely random result, not a text swap. Pick a die type from d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, or d20 above the tray, and use the plus and minus buttons to roll anywhere from one die up to six at once. The total for the current roll sits front and center under the tray, and every roll gets logged in the history list below it so you can scroll back after a disputed check.
Every control also works with a keyboard: tab to the tray and press Enter or Space to roll, or tab to the Roll button directly. Your die type, dice count, and roll history are saved on your device, so closing the tab and coming back later picks up right where you left off. Nothing you roll is ever sent anywhere.
How it compares to Dice Roller - RPG & D20 Dice
Tumble Dice keeps the part that matters most: tap or click, watch the dice actually tumble, get a real result, see the total. We built it to cover the classic RPG set, d4 through d20, with a running total and a persistent history, because that combination handles the vast majority of tabletop rolls people reach for a dice app to make.
The native app goes further. It covers the full D20 system including d100, and being a real Android app it can run without a browser tab open, work fully offline with no page to load, and layer on the saved presets and customization options that only come with a dedicated app.
Our honest take: use Tumble Dice when you are already on a laptop or a shared screen and just need a quick, fair roll without switching devices. Install the full app when dice rolling is a regular part of your sessions and you want it one tap away on your phone, offline, every time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I roll dice online without downloading anything?
Yes. Tumble Dice runs entirely in your browser above. Pick a die type, set how many dice you want, and tap the tray or the Roll button to get a real random result, no install and no account.
Is this the official Dice Roller app?
No. Tumble Dice is an original tool we built, inspired by the quick-roll problem apps like Dice Roller - RPG & D20 Dice solve. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to that app’s developer. Get the official app from the links above if you want the full D20 dice system on your phone.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, rolling happens entirely in your browser with no network requests, so a spotty connection will not interrupt a roll. You do need the page to load once, which is the one thing a native offline app avoids.
Is my roll history private?
Yes. Your die type, dice count, and roll history are saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device. Nothing is uploaded or logged anywhere, including when you use Share, which only sends the result of your last roll.
What dice types can I roll?
Tumble Dice covers the classic tabletop RPG set: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20, with one to six dice per roll. That covers character checks, saving throws, damage rolls, and most board game dice mechanics.
