How to play
Your orb bounces on its own. Your only job is steering. On touch screens, press and drag anywhere on the play area and the orb follows your finger. On desktop, use the left and right arrow keys (A and D work too). Slip off one edge of the screen and you reappear on the other side, which is often the fastest escape route.
Grey platforms are solid, indigo ones slide sideways, and cracked yellow ones crumble after a single bounce. Amber springs launch you several screens up. Past 250 meters, red spike orbs start drifting into your path. Touch one and the run ends.
Every run uses the same platform layout for everyone that day, and it resets at midnight, so there is always a fresh tower tomorrow. Your best height and day streak are saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Doodle Jump
Sky Hopper keeps the part of Doodle Jump that matters: the one-more-run loop. Auto-bounce, mid-air steering, edge wrap-around, breakable platforms, springs, and hazards are all here, and a run lasts the same 30 to 90 seconds. The daily layout adds something the original handles differently, since everyone climbs the same tower each day and can compare heights fairly.
We deliberately left a lot out. There are no propeller hats, jetpacks, or shootable monsters, no themed worlds like the underwater or space levels, and no costume unlocks or missions. The original’s hand-drawn graph-paper style is part of its charm, and we made no attempt to copy it. Sky Hopper uses its own clean geometric look instead.
So when should you get the real thing? If you find yourself on your third run here, the full game is the obvious next step. Doodle Jump has years of content layered onto this loop, plays offline, and its tilt controls give steering a completely different feel that touch dragging cannot reproduce. Our version is the taste. The platform layout is generated from today’s date, so everyone in the world climbs the same tower on the same day. That makes heights comparable: if a friend reports 800 meters today, you faced the exact same climb. A new layout arrives at midnight, which is also how your day streak grows.
