Helix Jump promotional artwork showing the ball bouncing down a rotating helix tower

Helix Jump is the purest one-thumb game Voodoo ever shipped: a ball bounces down a spiral tower, you rotate the tower so it falls through the gaps, and one red segment ends everything. That loop pulls you in within seconds and holds for hours. We wanted it without the install or the ads, so we built Spiral Drop, our own 3D tower drop in the same spirit. It runs right here on this page, free, no download, no signup.

How to play

Drag left or right on a phone, or use the arrow keys on desktop, to rotate the tower under the bouncing ball. Every ring you fall through is a point, and landing on a red segment ends the run instantly, so the whole game is reading the next gap before the ball gets there.

Fall through three or more rings in a single drop and you charge a streak smash: the next safe ring you land on shatters instead of bouncing you, worth a five point bonus. Danger segments stay lethal even when charged, so the smash rewards commitment, not carelessness. Reach the glowing base and the next tower loads instantly, with more red the deeper you go.

Everyone gets the same tower each day, generated from the date. Your best score, deepest drop, and day streak are saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.

How it compares to Helix Jump

Spiral Drop keeps what makes Helix Jump work: a real 3D tower you rotate under a falling ball, gaps to thread, red segments that kill in one touch, and the rush of skipping several rings in one clean drop. Our streak smash plays the same role as the original’s fireball, turning a long fall into a way to punch through a floor. Runs last the same 30 to 90 seconds, and restarts are one tap.

We deliberately left things out. Helix Jump ships hundreds of hand-tuned level packs, unlockable ball skins, and the option to continue a failed run; we have none of that, and our danger segments never break, even during a smash. Our daily tower goes the other way instead: everyone faces the same layout each day, so scores are directly comparable, which the original does not offer.

If you find yourself chasing a third run here, the real game earns the install. Its level design is sharper than anything a generator produces, it plays fully offline, and the skin collection gives long sessions a second goal. Ours is the quick fix. Voodoo’s game is the deep one.

Helix Jump is free with optional purchases on Android and iOS. Years after release it still sits near the top of the arcade charts, and the one-finger control scheme remains one of the best pieces of mobile game design of its era.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play Helix Jump online in a browser?

Voodoo does not publish an official browser version of Helix Jump. The game on this page, Spiral Drop, is our own original tower drop built around the same rotate-and-fall loop, and it runs in any modern browser on phone or desktop. For the real Helix Jump you need the Android or iOS app.

Is this the real Helix Jump?

No. Spiral Drop is an original game we built, inspired by the mechanics that made Helix Jump famous. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Voodoo in any way. All art and sound in our version are original work, and the download links above point to the official app.

Is it free?

Completely. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, and no data collection. Your best score, deepest drop, and day streak live in your browser’s local storage and never get sent anywhere.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded, the game makes no further network requests, so it keeps running through connection drops. For a proper offline game, install Helix Jump itself, which plays fully offline after install.

Why is the tower the same every run today?

The tower is generated from today’s date, so everyone in the world falls through the same rings on the same day. That makes scores comparable: if a friend scored 80 today, they faced exactly the same gaps and red segments you did. A fresh tower arrives at midnight, which is also how your day streak grows.
