Ludo King promotional artwork showing the classic four-color ludo board and dice

Ludo King by Gametion turned a centuries-old board game into one of the most played mobile games on the planet, and in India it became a household fixture. The loop is timeless: roll the die, race your tokens around the board, capture anyone in your way, and get everyone home first. We wanted that loop without the install, so we built Ludo Sprint, a faster ludo you can play right here against three computer opponents. Free, no download, no signup.

Tap the die to roll (space works on a keyboard), then tap a pulsing token to move it.

How to play

The rules are classic ludo, trimmed for pace. Each player has two tokens instead of four. A six opens a token onto the board and earns you an extra roll. Land on an opponent and you capture them: they go back to base and you roll again. Eight star cells are safe ground where nobody can be captured, and getting a token home needs an exact roll. First player to bring both tokens home wins, which keeps a full match around three to five minutes.

When more than one move is legal your tokens pulse, and you tap the one you want (or press 1 or 2). Each player uses a different token shape, so the board reads clearly even if you have trouble telling the colors apart. Every day the date seeds the dice, so the whole world plays the same rolls today. Your win streak and fastest win are saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.

How it compares to Ludo King

Ludo Sprint keeps the heart of Ludo King: the dice tension, the agony of needing a six, the swing of a capture that sends someone all the way back to base, and the safe stars that turn the board into a game of calculated risk. The computer opponents play a solid game too. They chase captures, hide on safe cells, and sprint for home when the odds are right.

We also deliberately made it faster. Two tokens per player instead of four means fewer dead turns and a match that finishes in minutes rather than half an hour. That is a real change to the game, and purists will notice.

The bigger difference is everything we left out. Ludo King is a social game at its core: online multiplayer with friends, local pass-and-play on one phone, voice chat, tournaments, themed boards, and the Snakes and Ladders side mode. None of that exists here, and we made no attempt to copy its look. Our version is you against three AI opponents on an original board, nothing more.

So when should you get the real thing? The moment you want to play against actual people. Ludo is a game about table talk and rivalries, and that is exactly the part a quick browser match cannot replace. Our version is the warm-up. Gametion’s game is the family table.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play Ludo King in a browser?

Gametion does not publish an official browser version of Ludo King. The game on this page, Ludo Sprint, is our own original ludo built around the same roll, race, and capture loop, and it runs in any modern browser on phone or desktop. For the real Ludo King you need the Android or iOS app.

Is this the real Ludo King?

No. Ludo Sprint is an original game we built on the classic ludo rules, which have been public domain for over a century. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Gametion Technologies in any way. All art and sound in our version are original work, and the download links above point to the official app.

Can I play Ludo against the computer?

Yes, that is exactly what this is. You face three computer opponents that open on sixes, chase captures, and shelter on safe cells. Ludo King also has an offline “vs computer” mode in the full app if you want the four-token version.

Is it free?

Completely. There are no ads, no coins, no in-app purchases, and no accounts. Your win streak and fastest win are stored in your browser’s local storage and never sent anywhere.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded, the game makes no further network requests, so it keeps working through connection drops. For a proper offline game, install Ludo King itself, which includes a local mode that needs no connection at all.
