Rebel Racing built its whole appeal around one feeling: hitting a corner at full speed, drifting through it without lifting off the throttle, and crossing the line a fraction of a second faster than your last attempt. That loop is addictive, but it also comes wrapped in a large install and a garage full of cars to grind for. We wanted the corner-carving part available the moment you land on this page, so we built Neon Overdrive, a small 3D circuit racer that runs right here in your browser. Free, no download, no signup.
Play Neon Overdrive now
Tap the track to start. Drag left or right to steer through the corners, and hold BOOST for a burst of speed.
How to play
You drive a single car down a winding circuit against two rivals, and the goal is simple: reach the finish line as fast as you can. On a phone, drag your finger left or right anywhere on the track to steer, and tap the BOOST button to speed up. On desktop, steer with the arrow keys or A and D, and hold space to boost.
Corners pull your car outward the tighter and faster you take them, so you need to steer into the turn to hold your line. Get through a corner clean and you refill some boost as a reward. Miss the racing line and you drift onto the gravel shoulder, which costs you speed until you steer back on track.
Every day brings a new circuit generated from the date, so everyone racing today faces the same layout and the same two rivals. Your best finish time and your day streak are both saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Rebel Racing
Neon Overdrive keeps the three things that make a Rebel Racing session satisfying: a tight, corner-heavy circuit, a boost gauge you manage rather than spam, and a lap that ends in a real result you immediately want to beat. Runs last well under two minutes, the daily circuit is identical for every player, and finish times are directly comparable because nobody’s track is easier than anyone else’s.
We left out everything else on purpose. There is no car collection, no garage upgrades, no crew or clubs, no live PvP against other real players, and none of Hutch’s licensed manufacturer content. Rebel Racing’s career mode, event calendar and car customization are exactly what you install the real game for, and we made no attempt to recreate them. Our circuit, cars and rivals are original low-poly work that loads in about a second.
So when should you get the full game? If you have raced this circuit a few times already, now is a good moment: Rebel Racing has a much deeper progression system, dozens of licensed cars to upgrade, and real-time competitive events that a single browser page cannot match. Ours is a quick sprint. Hutch’s is the long season.

Rebel Racing is free to play with optional in-app purchases on Android. It puts you behind the wheel of licensed sports cars across a calendar of timed events and championships, with a full garage system for tuning and upgrading each car you unlock.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play Rebel Racing in a browser?
Hutch Games does not offer a browser version of Rebel Racing; the real game is a native Android app built around a large install and an online connection for events. Neon Overdrive, the game on this page, is our own original racer built around the same corner-and-boost loop, and it runs in any modern browser on mobile or desktop with no install at all.
Is this the real Rebel Racing?
No. Neon Overdrive is an original game we built, inspired by the mechanics that make Rebel Racing enjoyable to replay. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Hutch Games in any way. Every car model, sound and line of code in our version is original work, and the download links above point to the official game.
Is it free?
Completely. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, and no data collection. Your best finish time and day streak live in your browser’s local storage and are never sent anywhere.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, Neon Overdrive makes zero further network requests, so it keeps running even if your connection drops. Rebel Racing itself needs a connection for its live events, so if you want a racer you can play with no signal at all, ours is the more reliable pick.
Why is the track the same every run today?
The circuit is generated from today’s date, so every player in the world races the identical layout and the same two rivals on a given day. That makes finish times directly comparable: if a friend posts 34.2 seconds today, they drove the exact same corners you did. A new circuit arrives at midnight, which is also how your day streak grows.
