Stack by Ketchapp is the purest one-thumb game ever shipped: a block slides over your tower, you tap to drop it, and any overhang gets sliced away. Miss by a little and your tower shrinks. Land it flush and you keep climbing. We wanted that loop without the install, so we built Skyrise, a stripped-down stacker in the same spirit that runs right here on this page. Free, no download, no signup. It starts the moment you tap Play.
Play Skyrise now
Tap Play to start, then tap anywhere to drop each block. Space works on a keyboard.
How to play
A block glides back and forth above your tower, switching direction of approach with every layer. Tap, click, or press space to drop it. Whatever hangs over the edge gets sliced off and tumbles away, so every sloppy drop leaves you a smaller target for the next one. Drop a block dead center and it lands with a pulse: that is a perfect, and chaining five perfects in a row starts regrowing your footprint, which is the only way to recover from a bad stretch.
The block speeds up as the tower rises, and each day has its own speed curve, seeded from the date, so everyone in the world plays the same difficulty today. Your height is your score. Your best and your day streak are saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Stack
Skyrise keeps the part of Stack that matters: slide, tap, slice, and the quiet dread of watching your tower get narrower. The perfect-drop chain that regrows your block is here, the camera climbs with you, the colors shift as you rise, and a run lasts the same 30 to 90 seconds. Precision is the whole game, so we made the tap register on touch-down rather than on release, exactly the kind of latency detail the original gets right.
We deliberately left a lot out. There are no unlockable color schemes, no gems to collect, no global leaderboards, and no cloud save syncing your progress across devices. Ketchapp’s version also has years of tuning behind its physics and a companion AR release, and we made no attempt to copy its look. Skyrise uses its own clean isometric style with a daily color palette instead.
So when should you get the real thing? If you find yourself chasing a third perfect chain here, the full game is the obvious next step. Stack plays fully offline, its unlockables give long sessions a goal beyond height, and the worldwide leaderboard turns a personal best into a public one. Our version is the taste. Ketchapp’s game is the meal.

Stack is free with ads on Android and iOS, and a decade after release it is still the reference point for one-tap arcade design. Millions of players later, the loop has not aged a day.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play Stack in a browser?
Ketchapp does not publish an official browser version of Stack. The game on this page, Skyrise, is our own original stacker built around the same tap-to-drop slicing loop, and it runs in any modern browser on phone or desktop. For the real Stack you need the Android or iOS app.
Is this the real Stack?
No. Skyrise is an original game we built, inspired by the mechanics that made Stack famous. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Ketchapp in any way. All art and sound in our version are original work, and the download links above point to the official app.
Is it free?
Completely. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, and no data collection. Your best height and day streak are stored in your browser’s local storage and never sent anywhere.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, the game makes no further network requests, so it keeps working through connection drops. For a proper offline game, install Stack itself, which plays fully offline after install.
Why does the block feel faster some days?
The speed curve is seeded from today’s date, so everyone in the world faces the same difficulty on the same day. A fast Tuesday is fast for everybody, which makes heights comparable between friends. A fresh curve arrives at midnight, which is also how your day streak grows.
