How to play
Press and hold to grab the rope anchor ahead of you, then let go to release it. Gravity and momentum do the rest: hang on too long and you swing in a tight, slow arc; let go right as you pass the bottom and you fling forward at full speed. Time it well and you cover serious distance in one motion. Time it badly and you drop straight into the pit below.
On desktop, hold the mouse button or the space bar. On phone, press and hold anywhere on the course. Every day brings a new course generated from the date, so you and everyone else playing that day swing across the exact same layout. Your best distance and day streak are saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Stickman Hook
Grapple Dash keeps the one mechanic that makes Stickman Hook addictive: real pendulum physics, a hold-and-release rope, and the split-second decision of when to let go. Each run is short, roughly 20 to 40 seconds, so a bad swing costs you almost nothing and “one more run” is always one tap away. We also kept the daily-course idea and a simple distance score, since watching a personal best climb is most of the fun.
We left out everything that makes Stickman Hook a full game rather than a single loop. The real app has dozens of handcrafted levels, unlockable skins and hooks, ragdoll physics tuned for comedy on every death, and a progression system that keeps you coming back for cosmetics. Grapple Dash has one procedurally generated course a day and a plain stickman. No skins, no level select, no ragdoll flail.
So when should you get the real thing? If you clear our daily course and want more, the full game is the obvious next step. It has a much deeper level pool, unlockable characters, and offline play, which our single-file browser build was never trying to replace. Ours is the two-minute version.
